△ Concept Art Hand-Drawn by a Doomed Pencil 

Concept art serves as the basis for the visual development. An emblematic example of the use of concept art is found in the classic video game Doom, released in 1993. To give life to the demons and infernal scenarios that characterize the game, the artists at id Software relied on a large number of pencil drawings made by Christopher Romero and Kevin Siembieda, captured the essence of the brutality and horror: The images of these terrifying grotesque demons and scenarios were recorded in the memories of the players, becoming icons of the first-person action video game genre. 

The legacy of the pencil drawings of Doom lives on as an example of how the beginning of creativity lies in a simple pencil, and how with it is possible to create works of art that inspire and excite millions of people around the world. Inspired by the legacy of Doom, I carried out my final degree study project: which, with the aim of sharpening the edge of all the essential drawing skills, i made starting only from the most primitive tools that are Paper and pencil,
